Automation Technician

Anoka, MN

Inginaire is seeking an Automation Technician for their client in Anoka, MN. In this role you will be responsible for identifying strategic automation opportunities that will have a significant impact on safety, cost, and quality. This position will also be responsible for driving all projects through to completion. This is a Direct Hire position.
Duties
  • Work with internal customers on automation systems integration projects
  • Utilize electrical and controls automation skills to develop automation systems
  • Lead aspects of automation projects including design and implementation to assure projects are completed on schedule
  • Train the workforce on new technology and automation systems
  • Create and document new processes
  • Monitor performance and utilization of automation process implementations
  • Support capital expenditure requests and implementations
  • Drive cross-company collaboration with using similar automation equipment
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in robotics automation or a related field, or relevant experience
  • 3 years working with automation systems integration
  • Familiar with Human Machine Interface (HMI), control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (Rockwell and Allen-Bradley, and control components)
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to think creatively, drive results and stay focused on daily tasks
  • Proficient in Computer Design Tools such as SolidWorks
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
Schedule
  • This is a 3rd Shift Position
  • Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 10:30pm-7am
  • Pay: $27.50 - $31.50 per hour
