Quality Technician

Roseville, MN

Inginaire is seeking a Quality Technician for our client in Roseville, MN. The client is a manufacturer of quick disconnect couplings, fittings, and connectors for plastic tubing. This is a Direct Hire position.

Duties

  • Apply inspection techniques using a variety of hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, ring gages and programmable test equipment such as Optical Gaging, Coordinate Measuring Machine and Micro-view.
  • Perform First Article inspections and other complex inspections and maintain appropriate records as needed.
  • Initiate, investigate, and resolve non-conformances and maintain appropriate records as needed.
  • Provide support for other inspection functions.
  • Assist in evaluation of inspection methods/fixtures and providing improvement recommendations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering.
  • Assist in evaluating and defining inspection processes for incoming inspection as well as production operations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering.
  • Operates within their BOS (Quality System).
  • Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Lean projects.
  • Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training.
  • Acts as QA liaison in cross-functional projects and client representative to suppliers/customers.
  • Assists with quality systems audits with suppliers.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of their core values.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree or certification in a technical discipline OR High School diploma, with relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection or related field.
  • Understanding of machining and/or injection molding processes.
  • Experience with GD&T, Micro Vu, Smartscope, or PCDMIS.
  • Experience with indicators, micrometers, calipers, and pin sets.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel.
  • Able to collect, analyze, and report data.
  • Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to self-prioritize, multitask and expedite in support of production needs.
  • Experience in a regulated work environment such as Medical Device/Bio-pharm/Automotive (preferred but not required).
  • Oracle or similar ERP software experience (preferred but not required).
  • ASQ participation and certification (preferred but not required).
  • Familiar with 1809001 guidelines and GMP (preferred but not required).

Schedule

  • This is a 1st Shift position, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm (flexible)
