Automation Maintenance Technician

Arden Hills, MN

Inginaire is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for their client in Arden Hills, MN. In this position you will be responsible for the maintenance, support, development and implementation of automated work cells to minimize machine down-time and optimize productivity. This position will strongly focus on constantly looking to improve current systems and methods by identifying new technologies or automated processes.This is a direct hire position that is fully on site, so only local candidates will be considered.
 
 

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks safely using designated PPE
  • Respond quickly & efficiently to production downtime situations to maximize machine up-time
  • Perform preventative maintenance of equipment and tools on time
  • Troubleshooting of equipment to repair or replace defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, servomotors, or valves.
  • Must be familiar with troubleshooting PLC’s, pick and place devices, fiber optic sensors, and vibratory systems (tracks and bowls).
  • Understands and properly utilizes instructions, drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, and instruction manuals regarding use and maintaining proper function of manufacturing systems, equipment, and subcomponents.
  • Support continuous improvement to enhance work cell productivity
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs
Required Job Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in manufacturing systems/technology or related
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in applicable maintenance or automation experience
  • Strong Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated previous use of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and I/Os - (Allen Bradley a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in manufacturing systems/technology
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Experience running a manual lathe and mill a plus
  • Experience with Keyence and Cognix vision systems

Schedule

  • Monday-Thursday: 2:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.
  • Four 10hr shifts
