Inginaire is seeking an Engineering Technician I for a 2nd shift role in the Bloomington area. This company is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of filtration products, servicing the Aerospace, Agriculture, Automotive, Biotechnology and Defense industries. The role will work in the mobile solutions liquid lab, and will conduct standard and non-standard testing on current and experimental products. The ideal candidate has testing experience and test recording/documentation experience. This is a long-term contract position with potential for hire. The position will be fully on site, so only local candidates will be considered.

Duties

Participate in the development of new technology, new products or modifications to existing products to meet technical requirements within time and cost constraints.
Consult with the test requestor and/or lab manager to determine appropriate testing methods and understand desired outcomes for standard products.
Set up and conduct performance tests, without supervision, using established standardized formats and procedures in order to identify performance ratings.
May adapt procedures, process, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the more complex testing requirements with the help and supervision of others.
Prepare accurate test data for interpretation and analysis.
Appropriately identify test equipment issues and communicate them to more senior level technicians or supervisors.
Operate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency of testing.
Assist with equipment calibration and perform basic test bench maintenance under supervision.
Keep lab manager informed of testing activity/challenges on an ongoing basis.
Performs operational lab duties as apparent or as assigned.
Effectively meet established deadlines.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Associates Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience as a test technician or related mechanical field
Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment and test standards preferred
Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office)
Demonstrated mechanical/technical aptitude
Ability to readily adapt to changing priorities and take direction from supervisors and team members
Ability to communicate concisely and accurately to individuals and small groups
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of data, reports, records, etc.
Ability to define a problem and make quality decisions based on analysis, experience and sound judgment
Good organization skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to recognize the importance of common goals and working with others to achieve them
Professional conduct at all times
Reliability and punctuatlity are a MUST

Schedule

2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday, 2:00pm-10:30pm & Fridays, 10:00am-6:30pm
